Experienced Team
At PDI, a dynamic pediatric radiology team cares for your patients. Leading our
specialized team is Dr. Robert G. Wells, a respected and recognized pediatric radiologist
who has been active in the local pediatric radiology community for over 20 years. Dr. Wells
holds an Associate Clinical Professor position at the Medical College of Wisconsin and
has been a member of the medical staff at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin since 1985.
The board certified pediatric radiologists at our facility are members of Pediatric
Radiologic Services, S.C. Our staff also includes physicians assistants, technologists and nurses with extensive
pediatric experience and an understanding of the special needs and concerns of children.
Our staff strives to tailor the imaging evaluation to address patient-specific clinical
issues. We provide referring physicians with imaging studies of excellent quality and
reports that are concise, timely and accurate.
Our staff also includes pediatric radiology nurses and technologists, all with extensive pediatric experience and an understanding of the special needs and concerns of our patients.
Robert G. Wells, MD - Pediatric Radiologist
Dr. Wells has been a staff radiologist at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin since 1985,
and is currently the interim Medical Director for the Department of Radiology. Dr. Wells
completed a pediatric radiology fellowship in 1985, and is board certified in diagnostic
radiology, pediatric radiology and vascular/interventional radiology. Dr. Wells has
authored over 80 professional articles and over 20 book chapters.
Brian E. Lundeen, MD - Pediatric Neuroradiologist
Dr. Lundeen is one of only a handful of radiologists around the country who have completed
fellowships in both pediatric radiology (Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, 1993) and pediatric
neuroradiology (Children’s Memorial Hospital, Chicago, 1995). Dr. Lundeen oversees pediatric
neuroimaging services at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. He is involved in various research
projects designed to optimize magnetic resonance imaging studies for children.
Bradley A. Maxfield, MD - Pediatric Radiologist
Dr. Maxfield completed medical school (1994) and diagnostic radiology residency
(1999) at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He went on to a pediatric radiology
fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, and has been a member of the hospital
medical staff since that time. An area of special interest is diagnostic imaging for
pediatric oncology patients. Dr. Maxfield is actively involved in diagnostic radiology
resident education.
Seng H. Ong, MD - Pediatric Radiologist
Dr. Ong has completed residency training in general surgery (1999) and diagnostic
radiology (2003). He completed fellowships in vascular/interventional radiology at
the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2004 and pediatric radiology at Children’s
Hospital Wisconsin in 2005. Dr. Ong is board certified in diagnostic radiology,
pediatric radiology and vascular/interventional radiology.
Smita S. Bailey, MD - Pediatric Radiologist
Dr. Bailey is board certified in diagnostic radiology and pediatric radiology.
She completed fellowship training in pediatric radiology and pediatric vascular/interventional
radiology at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in 1998. Her diagnostic radiology
training was at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Bailey is proficient in all aspects
of pediatric radiology. She enjoys professional interactions with patients, families,
clinical colleagues and radiology residents.
Robin D. Kaye, MD - Pediatric Radiologist
Dr. Kaye is a pediatric interventional radiologist who has spent time at Children’s
Hospital of Pittsburgh, Denver Children’s Hospital and Children’s Hospital of
Philadelphia. She completed residency training in diagnostic radiology (1991) and
fellowship training in pediatric radiology (1992) in Denver. She also received
fellowship training in pediatric interventional radiology at Children’s Hospital
Pittsburgh in 1992-1993. Dr. Kaye’s areas of special expertise include diagnostic
fluoroscopy and all forms of pediatric vascular/interventional radiology.
Darci Grochowski - Physician Assistant
Darci Grochowski is a board certified Physician Assistant who specializes in pediatric radiology. She also is a certified Athletic Trainer since 1998. She completed her Masters in Physician Studies at Marquette University in 2004. Areas of special interest are pediatric musculoskeletal radiology, sports medicine, and diagnostic fluoroscopy. Darci enjoys interaction with patients and families to enhance the clinical correlation of the examinations as well as patient satisfaction.
Sue Knight - Radiology Director
Susan Knight is the Radiology Director of Pediatric Diagnostic Imaging. She holds
a Master of Business Administration as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in
Nuclear Medicine. Susan’s career in health care began in 1990, as a Pediatric Nuclear
Medicine Technologist at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. During her time at
Children’s Hospital, she also led various community education courses and wrote
continuing education material for technologists. At Pediatric Diagnostic Imaging,
she has helped to create a facility that provides convenient and exceptional care
for children.
